Muhammad Ali
My instructional technology philosophy aims to create an inclusive educational experience that equips learners with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Since the introduction of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), educators have had to adapt to radical changes in teaching approaches. New trends are emerging, technology is developing very quickly, and everyone's expectations, teachers and students alike are shifting (Baneres et al., n.d.).
Technology can significantly advance learners by transforming traditional education and creating dynamic learning experiences. It can foster critical thinking, provide students with the skills and abilities needed for real-world interaction, and help bridge the digital divide. According to a study by Al-labadi and Sant (2020), a sizable percentage of students felt that using technology in the classroom helped them comprehend the lecture material at a deeper level.
The absence of technology access can negatively impact students. Students lacking technology exposure may struggle to adapt to the rapidly changing digital environment, hindering their ability to meet future labor market needs. Therefore, my role as an educator is to empower students and create a dynamic learning environment, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

Historical, theoretical, and philosophical foundations of distance education; an overview of distance education technologies; an exploration of the literature of the field, and an examination of effective techniques for teaching and learning within a distance education system
Identify a specific graduate degree program in instructional technology, distance education, or both, that is offered entirely or primarily via distance education. Identify just one program at one university.
This is a plan (or outline) for your final project in this course, the web-based lesson about distance education. The primary purpose of the plan is to ensure that you give adequate thought to the design of your lesson before moving to the development stage.
Based on the lesson plan, prepare a brief (10-15 minutes) single-concept web-based lesson about an aspect of distance education.
This course focuses on the integration of curriculum, teaching, and instructional technology. The topics include teaching with emerging technologies, development of media, integration of technology into the curriculum, evaluating the use of technology using rubrics, distance education, course design and online teaching, diffusion of innovations, and production of media for teaching.
In this paper I describe my plans for designing a learning experience. I reviewed examples of instructional technology integration at different levels. I determine where and how I would create the opportunity to increase the level of integration.
Assignment 2 consists of two parts: Part 1, the lesson or training plan using the ASSURE model and Part 2, assessment of the plan. Using the ASSURE model I will develop a lesson or training plan that effectively integrates instructional technology and media.
I will create, record, and publish a five-minute presentation related to trends, challenges, or educational technological developments.
Currently, I am a doctoral student with the Instructional Technology and Distance Education EdD program at NOVA Southwestern University
As a high school health educator, I teach a course that will guide students through the many dimensions of wellness, as well as encourage students to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Students develop skills needed in confronting difficult situations; understand health prevention and promotion techniques that will establish personal health education; and become health literate in making positive and healthy decisions.
